Ripe pears bake into a soft, fragrant filling, while the seeds lend a subtle nuttiness that deepens the flavor and add essential nutrients. Finished with a buttery crumble topping, it’s a breakfast or a dessert that feels both familiar and refreshingly new, effortless to make, yet impressive enough to serve at any table!

Ingredients
Filling:
3 pears, chopped
1 Tsp vanilla
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp maple syrup
½ Tsp cinnamon
Crumble topping:
¼ Cup chia seeds
1 Cup gluten-free oats
1 Tbsp raw sunflower seeds
¼ Cup chopped walnuts or pecans (leave out to make nut-free)
3 Tbsp coconut oil or grass-fed butter
1 Tbsp maple syrup
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Step 2
Toss pears with lemon, syrup, cinnamon.
Step 3
Combine crumble ingredients.
Step 4
Spread pears in a small dish or divide into 250ml mason jars and divide evenly with crumble.
Step 5
Bake 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden.
Ensure cooling completely before serving & freezing. Freezes 3-6 months.
