About the Recipe

Delicate, golden, and quietly sophisticated, this pear & seed crumble reimagines a classic comfort dessert with a refined twist. Ripe pears bake into a soft, fragrant filling, while the seeds lend a subtle nuttiness that deepens the flavor and adds gentle texture. Finished with a buttery crumble topping, it’s a breakfast or a dessert that feels both familiar and refreshingly new, effortless to make, yet impressive enough to serve at any table!

Ingredients

Filling:


  • 3 pears, chopped

  • 1 Tsp vanilla

  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup

  • ½ Tsp cinnamon


Crumble topping:


  • ¼ Cup chia seeds

  • 1 Cup gluten-free oats

  • 1 Tbsp raw sunflower seeds

  • ¼ Cup chopped walnuts or pecans (leave out to make nut-free)

  • 3 Tbsp coconut oil or grass-fed butter

  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup

Preparation

Step 1


  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).


Step 2


  • Toss pears with lemon, syrup, cinnamon.


Step 3


  • Combine crumble ingredients.


Step 4


  • Spread pears in a small dish, or divide into 250ml mason jars and top with crumble.


To freeze:

Cool, portion, and freeze in glass jars if using a small dish.

Ensure cooling completely before freezing.
